What you can expect from School at Sea - Fully Escorted Program ...    

  

Your "floating hotel" provides accommodations, all meals/snacks/drinks, 24/7 room service, 24/7 movies, kids clubs, live entertainment, scheduled onboard activities, pools and hot tubs and more.  School at Sea participants will also have the option of attending exclusive hands-on workshops and exclusive “family friendly” activities such as pizza parties, art shows, trivia contests, and our special School at Sea Scavenger Hunt.  Whether you spend your free time being pampered by the ship's staff, meeting new friends from around the world, and/or participating in a variety of daily activities both onboard and in port … the choice is yours!

 

All families will receive a Welcome Aboard & Travel Information packet at time of registration and enrollment.  Pre-Cruise Activities packets will be mailed prior to cruise for each student 2-17yrs. We offer four levels of activities packets, based on age and critical thinking level: Pre-K/Kinder, Elementary, Jr.High, High School.  These packets include activities based on geography, science, history, social studies and more … all based on the ports/region we will be visiting.  This builds excitement for your vacation plans, and allows your family to “get to know” the part of the world you will soon be exploring. 

Many favorite vendors have chosen to participate in School at Sea.  You may have a chance to test new products, view programs and boxed curriculums, and meet some family learning experts. 

We have a wonderful program to offer you for School at Sea: 

The fun and learning begins with our Pre-Cruise Activities Packets which are filled with activities for families to learn about the areas they will be exploring on the cruise.  Our packets are mailed to each child 45-60days prior to cruise, based on learning/age level (PreK/Kinder, Elementary, JrHigh, or High School), and include worksheets, recipes, craft ideas and much more.

The fun continues onshore prior to cruising with our Afternoon Meet & Greet and group rate at local hotels to ensure safe early arrival of travelers and luggage, plus a good night sleep before embarking on our adventure.

We offer a variety of interactive learning opportunities onboard with classes/workshops such as a Science Labs, Art Explorations, Creative Writing Workshops, and more.

We offer a variety of family fun opportunities onboard with activities/events such as our popular "Adventures at Sea" Scavenger Hunts, Trivia Contests, "Wet&Wild" Splash Contest, Physical Fun&Fit Challenges, Scrapbooking, Jewelry-Making, RiddleMeThis Challenge, and more. 

All travelers (including any family/friends who have chosen to book within our group and join you on vacation) will receive Welcome Gifts including Travel Bags (filled with sport bottles, toys and treats) for all children.  Daily Surprises will be delivered to your room for all children 3-17yrs.  Our youngest travelers will receive special "enhanced" Travel Bags, since many of the Daily Surprises would not be safe/appropriate for 2yrs and younger.

We will provide travel tips, guidance, and assistance at all stages of your planning and travel: 

After Program Enrollment has been received and Cruise Deposit has processed, you will receive a Welcome Packet in the mail - which includes a booking confirmation with itinerary, plus information about each port and worksheets/activities based on each port.
 
Approximately 6 months prior to cruise, you will receive a Travel Packet by e-mail (can also be mailed if you prefer) - which includes your Travel Form (to be completed and returned by mail or scanned and returned by e-mail), and information on our Group Hotel, Transfers, Insurance, Gratuities, Parking, and more.

Approximately 4 months prior to cruise, you will receive Packing/Travel Tips and information, plus Shore Excursion details and additional Port Adventures options you may want to consider.

Approximately 2 months prior to cruise, we will schedule a "Cruise Check-up", to ensure all aspects of your travel planning have been completed - including online registration.

For all of our escorted cruise events, our Group Cruise Specialist will arrive at the departure city one or more days prior to cruising, and will be onboard during the cruise to assist with any challenges that may arise.

All family and friends who would like to join us onboard are welcome to book within our group and take advantage of our special group rate pricing. 

Grandparents and Friends/Family travelling without children (2-17), are not required to enroll in the School at Sea program.  Persons not enrolled in the program will not receive the Pre-Cruise Activities, however if Worldwide Family Vacations handles their stateroom booking, they will receive many onboard surprises and are welcome to join us at our exclusive onboard activities.   

Program Enrollment: $80/family. 
We understand families come in all shapes and sizes.  Typically adults and their children, living at same address.  Friends, cousins, etc. - even if traveling together in same room - will each need to complete separate family registrations.

Complete Cruise Event Pricing:  Determined based on number of persons per room and room category.  
Many cruise lines and travel companies quote "cruise fare only" pricing, which can lead to surprise and disappointment when final balance is due.  Our pricing information is "complete" (including cruise fare, taxes and port fees).
